Everybody needs good lead generation, especially in these troubled economic times. It's not rocket science, and the better you get the more it will improve your bottom line.
The sole purpose of any campaign is to turn targeted visitors into genuine business enquiries. That's what generating leads is all about.
And it usually starts with a problem.
The people you want to talk to (your leads) each have a particular problem. If you can find a way to show your target group that you know how to solve this problem, you stand a pretty good chance of securing plenty of leads.
Sometimes the challenges and issues faced by your target market aren't immediately obvious. This is where something as simple as a complaints department, email address or form on your site can pay big dividends. If you give people the chance to complain, they'll probably take you up on your offer. And that complaint could be the source of a unique new product or service.
What you're looking for is a complaint that many people have, and that you can solve. The way to turn a complain into a lead, is to write copy that voices the complaint, shows how you solve it, and then asks the prospect if s/he would like you to solve it for them.
Sounds pretty simple, doesn't it? It's a little harder to pull off in practise, and you might prefer to hire an expert to implement it for you.
